What an amazing experience to have Eyes on Owls come to our school for second graders. We kicked off our owl unit with 5 different owls. We will be wrapping up our week on owls on Friday (if the snow allows). We will take an assessment on owls and what we have learned about habitats! We have also been comparing and contrasting between bats and owls and everything we have learned about them so far.
That very same day, students got to dissect their very own owl pellet! They loved every minute of it!!!
Next week we will take our Unit 2 Math Assessment and move on to Unit 3 after Thanksgiving.
We are also coming to the point in time where we night start switching up some RTI groups depending on student needs. If your child is going to start seeing reading or math support, I will reach out and contact you before we begin our new groups.
Report cards will be going home around December 14th. Grade close on December 3rd and conferences will begin shortly after. Please make sure to sign up for a conference so we can chat about your child and the progress they have made so far.
Enjoy the photos!
