Parents,
Fire Safety permission slips are going home in your child's backpack today. Please sign them and have them returned to school by this Monday.
Michelmas is happening at our school on Friday, October 19th. This is especially a fun year for second graders because they will be looking at the 3rd graders projects, knowing that they will be participating in Michelmas next year! For those of you new to Michelmas...here's what it is.
The 3rd graders spend weeks creating mini crafts at home to sell at Michelmas at home. The gym in turned into a craft fair on Michelmas Day. All classes will have an opportunity to visit the craft fair at some point throughout the day . Students can purchase goods if they choose too. The prices for crafts range from 0.50 to 5.00...The third graders use this money, 100% of the profits, for all of their field trips.
If you wish to send your child to school with money to spend, it needs to be in a ziplock baggie, labeled with their name on it. We have been practicing exchanging money at school but this would be a great opportunity to practice at home as well. There are 23 students and only 1 of me, so I will not be with each student as they make purchases. Please send your child only with money that is ok to spend. I think 1-5 dollars is appropriate.
