I hope you all have a well deserved Spring break. Hopefully we will return to some nicer, warmer weather!
The week we get back, we will be conducting another round of assessments for out RtI groups and I will start assessing students DRA (reading levels). These will go home on their report cards so students can continue to read books at their level throughout the summer.

Special thanks to our 5th grader, Meredith, for working with us today. We learned a lot about basketball; dribbling, passing and shooting. We also had to use our group plans and work with a teammate to complete these tasks.
Great job kindergarten! I was very impressed with your listening skills today!
Parents...if you have not yet signed and returned the pink permission slip for the 5th grade Passion Project, please do so by Monday. In order for our class to participate, a permission slip needs to be signed. This event will take place in the school gym on Tuesday, so please remember to wear SNEAKERS that day! :)
TOMORROW...We will be visiting the Readiness and First grade classrooms! We will begin our first trip down at 8:00am sharp! We talked a lot about it today so I am sure your kiddos will be talking about it, especially when they come home from school tomorrow. Gesell assessments will also begin tomorrow and will continue through the first week of May.
Gesell Parent Questionnaires have been mailed home. Please fill out these forms and return to school as soon as possible. These questionnaires, along with the Teacher Questionnaires are also used in scoring the Gesell.
Friday April 20th - CRAZY day - One of our school spirit choices was Crazy Day. Students may dress crazy as well as have crazy hair. Please make sure to follow school dress code.
Money and Time:
Shortly we will be learning about money and time. I will introduce coins (their names and values) and clocks (time only by the hour). Feel free to start talking about these at home to get them excited for what's coming next in school!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
