This week was full of fun! We had our 100th day celebration on Monday, followed by a week of more fun and learning! On Friday we celebrated the friendships in our classroom. As each student added their fruit to the fruit salad, they said something about a friendship they have made or value in the classroom. For example "I'm glad I made friends with Suzie this year, because I have a new friend on the playground". There were a lot of meaningful words shared and we reflected on how important friendships really are; not what are friends can do for us, but how they make us feel and the importance of having them in our lives. I am super happy with how each student shared and meant it. After our fruit salad, students passed out their valentine's and admired each others valentine boxes. I was quite impressed at their creations!
The Kids Heart Challenge was a huge success and they were very tired once we got back to the classroom.
Don't forget that this is Spirit week! Wear your BLUE & GOLD tomorrow to show your BOBCAT support! Please refer to the previous post to see what to wear each day for spirit week!
There will be NO spelling this week, only Reading Log for Homework! We will be reviewing many phonics and grammar skills this week. We will be working on our Opinion Writing. We will continue to work through our Unit 5 in math, along with reviewing many skills we have learned this year in Units 1-4. We will be touching base on Presidents and US History and will finish off the week with some STEM weather projects!
I will post pictures of this week as soon as my computer is cooperating!
Thank you,
Mrs. LeBourveau
