Parents,
This week we have begun to learn about coins! We are learning the names of the penny, nickel, dime and quarter. We are learning the value of each coins and the names of the presidents on the front of the coins too! Next week in math we will be introduced to CLOCKS! We will learn how to tell time by the hour on an analog clock.
We have been reviewing all of our letters, sounds and sight words this week throughout our reading groups and RTI groups. We have also taken our final Unit Assessment!
Next week in literacy we will begin LONG VOWELS!
We are in full swing of the Gesell Assessments. Some of your children have already been assessment; the rest of the class should be complete by the end of next week.
Please make sure to return the Parent Questionnaire that was mailed home a few weeks ago. This can be returned in their blue folder or to the office directly.
It is getting warm in the classroom and as a reminder we do not have A/C in our part of the building. Please dress your children appropriately and layers are always a plus!
WOODCHIPS cover the playground so sneakers are best! Wearing flip flops can be dangerous on the playground; splinters are not fun!
I will be sending out more information on our graduation at a later date, but please mark your calendars for our Kindergarten Graduation on Thursday, June 21st. This is also our last day of school. All family members are invited to join us in celebration.
Thank you,
Mrs. LeBourveau
